Selling with Vertu at Roseberys
Once you have received your valuation and are ready to submit your items to auction you will be given a property receipt and contract form by us. This outlines details of the items, auction estimates and an indication of when your item(s) will be uploaded to the website, or if they will entered in to one of our monthly themed auctions. It also details our terms and conditions of sale which you will be asked to read and agree to prior to your items being offered in one of our auctions.
At the time of consignment we will discuss with you the price that we would recommend placing as a reserve on your item(s). We always recommend that you allow our auctioneers to sell your items with some discretion, but we are happy to agree a fixed reserve price, below which we will not sell an item.
If you are unable to bring your items to our saleroom we can help you to arrange a collection from your home or workplace.
We work with a specialist fine art mover to ensure you are able to get your items to our secure storage location.
All vendors receive a pre-sale notification of items entered in our auctions. This statement confirms the description of your items, the estimate and the reserve price, together with the date on which your items will be offered in the online auction.
Our vendors can be sure their lots will be seen by the widest possible audience of prospective buyers thanks to our comprehensive online and offline marketing programme; designed to ensure maximum exposure to a global market of millions of Fine Art, Decorative, Interior and Antiques collectors.
Our team of in-house specialists and external consultants provide extensively researched academic catalogue descriptions which sit beside professionally photographed images of the items offered for sale in our auction catalogues.
All lots are fully illustrated and available to users on both Vertu at Roseberys and Roseberys websites.
Post-sale Statement & Unsold Items
You will receive a post-sale statement shortly after the auction that will indicate the hammer price your items have sold for or it will state the item is unsold.
In the unlikely event that an item remains unsold you will be notified by email and/or post after the auction. Your item will automatically be re-entered with a reduced estimate and reserve into another suitable auction in accordance with our Terms and Conditions For Sellers.
If you decide you do not want you item to be re-offered we politely request you notify us and that all items are collected within seven days of the auction.
